The 4th Annual Gala "Spooktacular" Costume Bash was on October 29, 2022. In addition to the traditional cocktails, silent auctions, dinner, entertainment, and dancing, LHOF volunteers acted as a "Tech Team" to ensure the activities ran smoothly.
Before the event, our volunteers familiarized themselves with the auction items and process before the guests arrived. During the event we functioned as the tech team, providing support to the attending guests. We helped those struggling to bid on their cell phones, directed guests to their desired bids, and dealt with other technical difficulties that plagued the gala attendees. 

The absolute highlight of the evening was the live auction. Our task was to mark down the bidders who won and the price they owed for each item. The work required vigilance, but it was fun to watch the entertaining (non-violent) skirmishes. The funniest of them included an inmate and a priest competing for a rare whiskey bottle, as well as a scarecrow and a skeleton competing for vacation tickets! 

The silly photos together when the guests started to dance and we were let loose marked a wonderful evening.
